The new B&O Beoplay A3 is a speaker system designed for the Apple iPad, but it is more than that, it encases the iPad to protect it, becomes a stand for the iPad, and has clever orientation detection to change the speaker output to suit the given orientation!
The Beoplay uses adapters to allow it to be used with all iPad models and has an integrated dock connector and rechargeable batteries which provide 5 hours of music playback.
Effectively, the Beoplay A3 turns the iPad into a free standing TV (by using third party software such as Elgato EyeTV), a bedside alarm clock and more. Released soon for US$750.
